he guys...well im tryn to get info on this...i got offerd a pair of LS6 heads already ported &polishd..for 400.00 i got a 5.3 with a few bolt ons...also thinking of a cam ( but not sure of how tall to go--i drive this truck daily to/& at work)...well i sure would like some feed back...any thing would help..thanks

5.3 heads have a smaller combustion chamber i think its like a 61cc 5.3 compared to 65cc ls6 (?)

Thats a great deal!Just shave them .040 and throw in a tr224 cam and you will be golden

 

5.3's are 59cc, LS6 heads are 64cc

 

great heads (should have 243 casting #) but yeah, you're going to have to mill them in-order to keep your stock comression.

My L33 5.3 came with the 243 heads and its a nice setup.

 

well idk the casting number yet..but ill check it be4 i get them...and i think they are milld already...the guy thats selling them to me had them on a 5.3 also but he said he wanted to change them because he was going to supercharge it and something bout the compresion....
