Default Help my 98 obs out!

Truck: 98 Sierra ecsb 1500 z71 w. vortec 5700.
Problem: Slow as dog snot.

Where can I start to make the biggest gains, short of FI? After seeing the support and online user-base of the nbs trucks, I wish I had waited for a 99-00... but that's another thread.

midlength or longtube headers plus full exhaust
cam (then you would also need valve springs)
stall
tune
gears
also the VMAX spacer helped too. Not nearly as advertised, but others have velt a difference too.
Then of course you would need to beef up your 4L60E. Without tearing it out you can get:
Corvette 1-2 servo
Transgo HD2 shift kit
GM accumulators
Sonnax Check Valve
