Help me pick out a cam.

did I say don't go ABOVE .500 lift? --No. Did I say that there was a dead spot right at .500 lift? --Yes.
Is my intent to mislead people? --No. Therefore, I included the graph I got the information from so that other people could learn how to pick a cam with the aid of knowing how the stock 5.3L heads flow.

Here are some dyno numbers for a Comp 212/218 .558/.563 114lsa dyno results w/ stock heads .
I have a similar cam in my Tahoe and love it. I went with a custom grind to reduce overlap and make it a little more friendly for CA emissions.

Trevor at Texas Speed and Performance along with BigTex helped me decide on the XE lobes. I ordered a custom grind through Texas Speed and Performance. I think the 212/218 is the shortest duration they'll grind the Comp XE lobe.
Something I would be curious to try would be the Thunder Racing lobe with 214 - 216 duration, if they made it.
