Does anyone know where the Crankshaft position sensor is located on a 2004 silverado 5.3?. Some people are telling me its next to the crankshaft, on the left hand side but i don't see it. \

It is above the starter

 

Haynes manual, section 2, "engine overhaul". it sohuld have a picture, or tell you where its located, in order to disconnect it and procede with taking the motor apart.

I don't have mine, otherwise I'd look for you.
