A cam shouldn't be out of the question for a DD. As long as you don't get over aggressive you should be just fine. A 212/218 would be a great DD cam if your looking for just a little more. I think a better choice would be a small stall. Something with like a 2600-3k stall speed would be just great. That will give you whole shot power. It will be a very noticable change as many people drop .2 or more on their 60' times and .5 in the 1/4 isn't uncommon. Just my 2 cents.

Stall from Circle D=400
Cam kit=700ish
Basically a stall allows your motor to get higher in the rpm range before putting power to the ground. (kinda like dropping the clutch in a manual at 2k vs 3k)

Can will give you more hp and torque. The stall just let's the engine build its power more by allowing it to rev more before the power is transferring it to the wheels.

both would be a great combo

Pretty sure those price don't include install

I am by no means an expert, still learning lots of this my self but from what I have read and been told you will need new push rods and rocker arms. Or at least it is highly recommended when doing a CAM swap.
