Help with the gas guzzling
Hey friends, new to the truck section, but very familiar with Tech. I got a few questions that will hopefully get me started in the right direction.
1) What are some of the performance sites you guys go to? LS1 has Thunder Racing, Speed Inc., etc. What do we have? I want to get a bigger drive shaft and some heavy duty U-Joints.
2) Please list all the mods I can do to improve my friggin gas mileage. Damn thing is thirstier than all hell. Any tricks, mods, getting a tune, etc.
3) Will running open manifolds increase/decrease my gas mileage and what about my power?
Much thanks
Justin

keep your foot out of it bro . Runnig open manifolds is not good. If you are talking about your lifted truck, then gear it, that will help alot. Intake, exaust, and program it and that will help out. But you need to keep your foot out of it.

gears, you need 4.56. tune, exhaust, intake, that should help out considerably. You know you weren't going to get good gas mileage with a big *** lifted truck. so really other then the gears if you can't handle the gas you need to get rid of the truck.
