help on exhaust

Default help on exhaust

i have a 96 with a 5.7 and its stock from the manifolds to the cat, after that its 3" then a cut out then a flowmaster. im lookin to get a all new set up. im thinkin about LT's then a 3" y pipe then the cut out then a borla xr-1. what are some good LT's? and where can i get a 3" y pipe? if yall have any ideas just let me no thanks. remember im on a budget so...

The best headers to get on a budget are pacesetters. they make their own 3" y-pipe also I'm not sure if you can get it with cats though. IMO Borla isn't a budget muffler. The xr-1 is 140 bucks. You can get a hooker aerochamber 3"inlet/outlet from summit for 60 bucks. you can get a magnaflow which is basically the same thing as a borla for a lot cheaper also. I dont know which one to go with though, I'm not to schooled in the magnaflow department maybe someone else could chime in.

I also wanted to redo my exhaust when i order my LTs. I was considering a spintech sportsman street muffler or maybe a magnaflow but i have no cats so i want a muffler that wont be obnoxious or raspy. You won't have this problem

now im lookin at gettin some hooker LT's because pacesetter doesnt make long tubes for my year

oops, didn't look at the year of your truck. I hear the hookers are a good header too and resonably priced.
