Default help. big problem.

CRAP.

So I was driving and then all of a sudden I hear this vibration/noise from the underside of the truck. The truck is still driving good and the tranny is shifting as normal. When I park my car and turn the wheel all the way to the right I get the vibration/noise. It doesnt happen when I turn the wheels all the way to the left or just straight. It's hard to describe. Sometimes the gas pedal will vibrate pretty bad. It makes the noise/vibration with the gear selector in any position. The engine sounds fine from inside the engine bay. Could any of my accessories be causing this? No SES light, oil pressure is good, engine temp is good. I verified that even with the wheels turned all the way and with the noise occuring, neither header was hitting the frame. So that is not the cause of the noise. I forgot to add, back when I did the 6.0 swap, I put in an supposedly new starter from ebay. A couple months ago every now and then when I started the truck I would get a grinding noise. It went away for a couple months. Then it happened today on the very same startup and drive in which I developed this noise. Coincidence? You'll need to turn your volume up on these videos.

Yeah, those sound like very good ideas. Unfortunately, I can't diagnose any of those myself. Looks like I'll be off to the stealership . Should I keep the headers on or put back the stock exhaust?

I would dig into suspension, jack up the front of the truck and see if the wheels wiggle, I would check the sway bar, and the end links, the cv shafts if it is 4wd, make sure the control arms arent loose.

It's 2wd.

Also, the sound/vibration happens when the truck is just sitting there idleing. That rules out suspension, no?

Guys I'm really thinking it could be a broken flexplate. WTF could cause this? The 4l60e doesn't have an inspection cover like the 80e, right? If I take off the starter do you think I could see in there at all?

Or it could be my converter? That would be a good thing since now i could get a TT3000 lol

but it makes a bunch of noise when turning right? thats the big thing leading me to the suspension, but doing it at idle... Might as well pull the starter and look at the gears.

It also makes the noise driving straight too. At this point I'm putting all my money on a broken flexplate, torque converter, loose tq conv. bolts.

I did some more seaching and came across a thread with a very similar noise, turned out to be torque converter bolts loose. I'm praying that's my problem here. Or a cracked flexplate would be fine too lol. Anyways, what is needed to be able to turn the flexplate so I can inspect all 3 tq. converter bolts?
