looking at picking up a 2000 s10 v8 swap from a car dealership its a small one and the guy said the engines a 350 from a 2000 silverado but i'm pretty sure there was no 350 they switch to the 5.3 right . Be good if someone could post pictures from the current engine to the last generation engine.

Anyother tips to find out what exactly they have there?

99- to present silverados come equipped with either 4.8, --- 5.3 ( 325 cubic inch) 6.0(364 c.i.). No 350's made since 98 in the truck but the suburban still could get a vortec 350 in 99 . This salesman obviously doenst know his *** from a hole in the ground, Beware bud! take some pics of it for us to see and maybe we can help you more.

Thats true, but also there were some rare late production old body style 99 c1500's! Buddy of mine parents have 99 OBS C1500 with the 5.7L Vortec engine. Like Tim Z mwntioned also the 99 'burbans had them aswell.

The engine might also be from a 99-00 Cadillac Escalade.

Is there a site that has this information about which engines are in which trucks/vans, not even gonna give this guy a price unless I know everything about this truck

"Hot rod sleeper!!! This gorgeous extra cab S10 has been professionally converted to a 5.7 V8 w/auto trans., ps., pb., a/c, CD, cr., tilt, keyless entry, p. moonroof, roll pan & more. Finished in flawless silver over graphite cloth. Only 58,000 km(only 38k miles)."

the install over all looks factory has a coldair intake, back tires are finished rubber all up in the wheel well. The sales man said the owner was the owner of a chevy dealership should proberly try to find out which one and try to get a hold of him and try to gather any infomation about it.

thats all I got for now i'll have more info on Monday I proberly have a while anyways they just got it and its customized so alot of people will look at it but even more will walk.

You could still get a Vortec 350 in a Silverado truck in 1999 in the 1999 OBS trucks. As stated above.

You could also get a Vortec 350 in a fullsize Chev van until 2002. In the van the newer PCM controls the older style engine.
You could still get a Vortec 350 L31 in the commercial trucks through 2005.
