Default Help

I just installed my new Thorley headers, took my truck to the exhaust shop and they insisted that it was impossible to keep the cats and make everything work, so i told them to take um off. They did this, before i had no muffler just a y pipe in place of the muffler. Loved how it sounded. Now with no cats, and two short glass packs (true duals) the truck sounds like CRAP. Im thinking of taking the glass packs of and going to a muffler to make it atleast sound reasonably good... Now here's my question i think Magnaflow is pretty well my best bet, and a Dual In/Dual out setup is what i need. How will the 18" Dual in/out sound with no cats? will it take out some of that raspy sound? Ive done search after search and turned up tons of info but no one really said if the raspiness will go away... Also should i go with the 18" or the 22"??? Thanks a bunch Wannabebad

I have a single 22" and no cats and the sounds is not bad at all. This might be an option for you.

I put my cats back on. With a stock cam, the rasp is just there half the time. BTW, the guy at the shop you went to is an idiot. Hundreds of guys including me have headers with cats on and have no problems. A new muffler will help.
