Default Help!!!

My truck is a ’99 RCSB with the little 4.8 in it. It has LS1 heads and a Whipple charger on it and I’m having a few stupid problems with it.

Lately the little light in the dash for the Whipple charger has been coming on. Sometimes it comes on when you are just driving but it always comes on when you are under boost. When the light comes on when I always loose boost it. Before all this started I was easily seeing 9lbs of boost and now the most I ever see is 7 but it drops down to 5 as soon as the light comes on.

My other issue is I was coming home last night and my headlights started to dim and the volt gauge was on the 9 I gave stepped on the gas and the headlights got bright again and the volt gauge came up to 14. Everything was fine for a short while and then it did it again.

Any help at all would be great!!

lighting issue and boost issue to me dont seem related because lighting is electrical and boost belt driven ....*scratches head*.... dont know man good luck you might try a new battery or look at your alternator. with the extra engine rpm it might help out the alternator (giving it more light) if it is going bad but of this im not sure just a guess

i think they are both related. maybe i think you might have a belt slipping but not sure. check for residue. i would replace the belt. it is cheap and could be the problem. just a thought.

The belt has been slipping. What brand of belt is the best to replace it with?
