I'm a fan of this stuff, wrapped a couple of exhaust systems, works very well (plus no fiberglass stuck in fingers).

I just did my headers last week and I used the dei titanium wrap, if the engine is fully warmed up and can hold each pipe for a good 5 seconds and underhood temp is pretty cold compared to when I had stock manifolds with the metal heat sheild. It also doesn't itch and you can apply it dry so I'd suggest that. I got a 2" X 100" for 76$ off amazon
