its funny that you had to wait til the old lady was out of town before you could start it though. LMAO
Well we are in the middle of planning a wedding, getting the house Fiance approved, working 60-80 hrs a weeks, etc...

I just got the cam specs this morning

214/220 .600/.597 108+2

to put into prespective, my current cam has -1* overlap, the new cam has +1*, so the upper RPM power should be there, also the lower duration, CR from the heads and super tight LSA should really help out with the TQ. I am really excited to give it a try!

that looks something like the old man cam. I don't like it. Buying a cam without knowing the specs is ridiculous imo.

Yep it kinda sucked, but when he told me he was recommending a smaller duration cam, i was sold... Track times will show whether Ed was right or Not. Ed was great to work with, he answered every question i had, looked over my dyno charts, etc...

Actually, if you check up on TxSilverado's truck, PatG recommended him a 231/239 which seems really big even for an LS1 truck, but according to TxSilverado himself, no loss down low over the 226 XER and crazy gains up top. I don't like your cam change myself, and it seems like you're pretty interested in track performance, so I think it would have served you well to try the 227 LSL cam. JMO.

Alternatively, I could be completely wrong. Look at what bluecajun has done with just a tr220.

I understand your point, but thinking back, i have not been able to beat my best track time of 8.58, which was made with my 220 cam. So IMO the bigger cam was not working, but the DD aspect of it was good.

Both my previous cams had their pros and cons... I told Ed what I like about each one, and what I wanted out of my new cam/setup. IMO this new cam is mix of both cams. You have look at all the specs duration, LSA, ICL, and lift to really see what is going on... Looking at duration only is pointless...

Also comparing my truck to TXsilverados is like comparing Apples and Donkeys... They are completely different.

but I will do a track time comparision with the only change being the new cam to see which one is better.
