Google Del West titanium valves. But, I don't think they make stock 5.3 head intakes valves (1.89"). They do make 2.00" intake (a machine shop can make them fit the 5.3 head) and 1.55" exhaust (stock size).

The 243 heads will flow a little better, but unless you have them milled about .020", you'll lower the compression ratio.

The 243's have a 2" intake valve, and the 1.55 exhaust, so you won't have to have a machine shop make them fit.

You'll need to have someone tune it correctly as soon as the heads are on it. You'll be putting more air into the engine, and if you already had a problem with running lean, it could make it worse.

well kind of gutted today engine rebuild companys here want £400 a head for hardend seats so it would cost me well over £1000 just for the 243 head and seats to be fitted .

is there any companys over there that sell heads with machined hardend seats already fitted ?
