Default Which heads came from which engine?

Been looking for a source for all this but it's spread so thin its a pain to compile.
I'm going to start ammassing parts for a build and need to get rolling on this now.
Looking for possibly some 317 heads but want to shop a little before blowing the money. Maybe salvage yards, e-bay, here, etc.

So which engine came with which heads?
What was the cumbustion chamber volume?
If you have a link that states all just post em up.

4.8l has which heads?

LM7 has which heads?

LQ4 has which heads?.....317s?

LQ9 has which heads?

LS1 has which heads?

LS2 has which heads?

Where the sodium filled valves on bot intake and exhaust or just exhaust?
Read something about that helping keep them cooler and lighter.

I believe that the sodium filled valves were on the exhaust side only. I read somethin about it last night.

also, from the same site where I found that info they mentioned that the 5.3's '04 and up were outfitted with heads that had D shaped ports. Maybe it was just referring to the L33 which I think began to be an option around '05'ish?

Great information guys, thanks.
Now which would suit a 5.3l to a forged 5.7l conversion with about 10-12 psi of boost max?
From what I keep hearing and seeing the 317s are a nice way to go if your on a budget because they are relatively cheap and easy to find and also have a larger chamber to keep the compression low, say 9-5-1 ratio??

True or is there something better? And yes I'm trying to stay on a budget but we will see how long that idea lasts.

There just are no definitive posts with a lot of detailed information, I want to be informed before I take the plunge, as much as possible anyway.
