Heads and cam WERE going in on Friday....now I'm not sure

First off.....sorry for the long absence, I've been INCREDIBLY BUSY as of late and have not had time to do more than answer a few PM's, My heads/cam project was put on hold by some seriously poor customer service at Summit Racing and some REALLY awful weather here in Death Valley (it's rained over 4" in the last 3 weeks....we normally don't get that much rain in 2 years !!!!), hopefully this project will be done soon and I'll have some results to post up
now...onto the question at hand:
I had an offer made to me by a performance shop in North Las Vegas to do a Stage II hand porting on my heads, install new valveguides and seats, replace the valves with 2.02/1.59 valves, and do a 3-angle valve-job.......for $600......the only down side I can see is the THREE MONTH backlog before he can even THINK about doing them, he gave me a gauranteed pickup date of May 15th
Is it worth the wait to have the heads done or is it going to be a very minimal gain for the time and money spent ??

I'm not sure that I'd wait. I would really hate to sit on my plans for 3 months+ then have it turn out badly. I'd just install those heads for now, then keep an eye out for a used set of stage2 ls1 castings in the classifieds if you ever want to upgrade.
