Default Which Heads?

I have a Iron headed 6.0. I have read that ls1 heads would up the compression. Can anyone verify this?? Or would I gain anything by putting my 5.3 liter head on this motor?

Huh, didn't know there was an iron head 6.0L??? I thought all LQ4/LQ9 were iron block with aluminum heads?

Anyway, I have a set of new 5.3 heads that I will be putting on my 6.0L later this spring/summer. I got them off of EBay for 250 plus shipping (fully assembled with stock hardware) and a set of 2.08/1.60 valves for 75. I've been researching port size and shape and have found a couple of templates for LSx style heads... With chamber work I plan to perform (lay the walls of the chamber back to unshroud the valves for the larger bore of the 6.0L) I plan to have about 10.25:1 compression. I can't remember what the compression will be if you just slapped them on though...
