Do all year 317 heads have the D shape exhaust ports?

 

Livernois has a ported LS6 casting for about 900 last time I checked the internal engine section on tech. Pretty sure Patriot has something of the same. Might look into it.

 

Yeah but the LS6 heads will bump my CR up to 11:1, more than I wanted to go.

 

Yes, How about a set 5.3 heads? Not sure what they would do to the c/r, but I think the Fbody guys use them. Talk to Richard at WCCH

 

Yeah the 5.3 heads are in the same boat as the LS6. I want to say the 5.3's are 62cc and the LS6 are 64cc, so they are still going to bump it up.

I think I've decided to stick with the 317s. Funds just got a little thinner. I just found out that my LQ9 needs some work and cleaning before I can start bolting anything to it.
Also found a local guy that a buddy of mine know who can clean up the heads for me.
