Heads

Will i gain any power over my 4.8 liter heads if i simply swap out to 5.3 liter heads?

They are identical. The 4.8/5.3 heads have the smallest chamber size ( 61cc ) vs the other GenIII models. If you are going F/I then switching is good else you will lose compression and performance.
Best bet to increase CR is to find a thinner head gasket ( if this is what you are looking for ).
