I never said anything about their quality. They seem like fine headers construction wise. What good is their quality, when they don't fit? My pacesetters have held up for 3 years now and still look great. Are they as good a quality as OBX headers? No, but I didn't have to take a hammer to the primaries on mine.

You of all people should agree with me man.

I would think your problem is O2 sensors. The rears are triggering a code that says the cats aren't working. If you haven't looked into that, you might give it a try.

thanks for your help guys!

Yes using the OEM General Motors 3 part metal shim gaskets are your best bet. As long as you tighten the header bolts in the proper fashion from the get go, you will be fine. My Dynatechs have been on my SSS for over 15k, I check the bolts each oil change, and I have not had a flange leak or a loose bolt yet to this day....

Take a look over at SilveradoSS.com, there are some guys there running OBX LT's(the old style Dynatechs)....

yeah that could make one and that would be the best thing to do anyways. It can be custom made exactly how you want it regarding pipe diameter.

thats probably what i will do. my exhaust guy is pretty good. ( he run two pipes from the cab over the rearend on my truck and never looked at it or measured first, lol.) he does alot of the f-bods around here too.

heres what im going for:
pacesetter lts part # 72c2265
custom midpipe/ y-pipe
custom x-pipe (he makes those too)
two center inlet/ center outlet hooker aero's
turdowns

does this sound good?
