Update: The flanges are nicely TIG welded, however they are not surfaced correctly. Looks like they were surfaced prior to the weld, but not after. As far as I know, A header flange should be perfectly flat, otherwise you can warp it. Maybe this was a manufactuer oversight, or maybe this is how they come, not sure. I have a call in with them, I will see what happens.
it.

Lastly, I am not all that hot on their collector design either, but it's probably just fine.

In closing, if the flanges were machined flat and the collectors the 3" I ordered I would be happy. I would recommend them at that point, I just have to see how that plays out.
of course, this is all just my opinion mixed in with a few years of experience.
enjoy the pics!

Thanks for the pics man...too bad they haven't lived up to your expectations so far. Since Tex's statement was probably just a poke, I wonder what size collector would be best for my set-up...

Whoa, those magazine pics look alot cleaner!

another thing of note, the ends of the GMHTP collectors are slightly beveled and deburred,........mine are just cut, all edges left alone

the more I look at GMHTP's headers from stainless works, the more unhappy I am becoming with the unfinished set they sent me, on top of the fact that they were not built to my spec as it is written on the invoice.

this IS a bad week

It's not a total loss - you're getting your locker in 2 days, and you still have lots of time before June 17th...

I guess they knew the ones going in a magazine had better look good. Sorry to hear trouble with them.
