i think i had my headers and Y pipe installed in couple hours with no issues but truck only was a few yrs old

old trucks are common to have broken studs, also paceshitters are hit or miss if they fit or dont and since they are typically MS and not SS they only really last a 1 yr or so up north

Interesting, my ARH 1-3/4 and catted y-pipe took me 4 hours to install. Thats including removal of stock manifolds. I did let me manifold bolts soak overnigjt with PB Blaster.

I sprayed the bolts everyday for 2 weeks morning and night Bolts were not hard to remove. and I didnt bust any they were already broken. Both the rear bolts are broken off inside and the front drivers side just the head of the bolt is broken off.

Bummer man. Had good luck with my pacesetters on my '99 NBS.!so good in fact I pulled them off before I sold the truck I pulled them off and installed on my '08.
Only hiccup was rear most drivers side header bolt was broke on the '99 before I started the install. Ended up being able to weld nut to it and back it out.

I soaked my bolts daily for a week. Didn't break any. Pacesetters fit great on my truck. Reused the stock bolts and the supplied gaskets. No leaks and they were on the truck about seven years. Did a motor swap and put the same headers on it with factory metal gaskets. All I did was warm the engine a little, loosened all the bolts some, them let the engine cool off before finishing them.

Sorry to hear all of that. My used Kooks went on pretty smooth. Did have two broken bolts but fixed them easily. The rear exhaust flange had been cut by the previous owner but my exhaust guy was in at the shop waiting for me when i finnished hanging them

ive had issues like this and ive had them just slide right in. I think sometimes its just look of the draw on the vehicle you are working on.
