i curently have shorty headers and am wanting to go to longtubes, after i felt no difference when the shortys were installed im wondering what brand to go to and if there is anything to look out for i have a 2007 silverado 4.8 with a cam

Cut off the factory y merge on your stock exhaust system, run custom exhaust from there back and u will feel a big gain.

so cut the factory y off and just weld new exhaust to the shorty headersstraight back is that what your saying

Longtubes, 3" OR-Y Pipe, and a good 3" in and out magnaflow muffler.
