I hate my pacesetters. I constantly have leake problems and after 3 years they aren't so pretty anymore. I'm going to suck it up and buy either Dynatech or Kooks. That way I know that I got a good solid product. Anyone know of a good after market exhaust system thatuses factory bracket locations as well? I'm tired of going to the local exhaust shop and having some POS system fabbed up and welded. Always having my tips and brackets re-welded. I don't care if it cost me 2 grand for an exhasut system, you get what you pay for!

If you get a set of LPP's, give me a shout. I want to check those out in person before I place an order of my own... when I can scrape the funds together. I have heard great things about them, but never seen them in person.

That's what I think too skeet. Since I'm going to be going to a 6.0 later on it would be good to already have 1 7/8's already on to take more advantage of the 6.0.

Thanks for all the help guys. What's a good set of 1 7/8's headers? Probably would have to get a custom y-pipe made for it though huh? Or should I just re-use the pacesetter y-pipe I have?
Luke give these a try and let me know, I was told they will fit our trucks no problem.

Those are some nice headers for the price. Looks like I can re-use my 3" y-pipe as well... if not ill make it work.

Thanks for the link I think I'm going to shoot for those when I get ready to bite the bullet.

off topic but, do have the pewter single cab with the cowl hood? If so, I heard your truck at SAR, sounded really strong for a 5.3 man. Did you have your cut-out open?

Yes sir that was mine thanks for the complement! Yeah the cut-out was open.

Wish it would of ran better though lol. Gotta work out the kinks in the drivetrain (tranny, converter, differential), and the lifters probably need to be replaced to get it to run 100%. Not to mention my passenger side header has a hole in one of the primarys due to old age and rust from these stupid pacesetters lol.

Hopefully next time i can hit a 12 sec pass.

I also measured the ID of my LPPs. They are true 1 3/4" primaries with a 3" collector. Those TSP Longtubes in the link above are some nice headers for that price being 1 7/8". A buddy of mine runs them on his Camaro SS and loves them. Their coating leaves a little to be desired but if youre going to those from Pacesetter then youll be pleased.

Hell a guy I work with bought Pacesetters a good while back for his truck and when he saw my LPPs the other day he said "Dude screw this BS, if you know anybody that wants a deal on some Pacesetters let me know, Im goin with some LPPs."
