Default which headers for 2500

well im looking at geting some LT's for my 2500 just to give it a little more pep, im looking at the pacesetter's ceramic, and the ebay stainless . the price is obviously different, 554 shipped for pacesetter and around 300 shipped for ebay ones. but is it worth it really to get the pacesetters?

would love to hear opinions on the pros and cons of each

truck is a 99 extended cab 6.0 4x4

Do you live in an area that sees inclement weather? If so, stainless is a must IMO. But, from a performance standpoint, you have to compare the primary and collector size of each. I believe that the Pacesetters are 1 3/4 primaries with a 3" collector, not sure on the ebay ones for a 2500. Check out rel3rd's monster thread, in this section, about the ebay headers and you should find a lot of answers. Get a pot of coffee and your reading glasses, you'll be busy for a while...

If you live anywhere it rains/ snows or anything like that, go with a stainless header.. Pacesetters are decent if your on a budget or live in the desert.. They rust out in a few years, then your doing it all over again...

well after reading that thread, thanks by the way for the link, im still lightly torn on geting them or not, some members fit perfect, others had issues with fitment, some had a ticking sound, and obviously you have to tie back the two plug wires. i searched for lpp but cant seem to find anything other than their shorties.

I called lpp and not making any new long tubes until summer I am tying myself to decide on which long tubes to get for my 2007 tahoe. leaning towards the obx as the nicest of the cheaper headers and only one that has a life time on them and guy says he will stand behind them now trying to find someone that has them on the a truck like mine and if happy with them. read many bad things on pacesetters and a buddy just took them off his truck as didnt like them. fitment issues and rubbing the frame drove him nuts. maybe if we contact someone together can get a deal. need to get a bunch of people and do a group purchase. i will start a thread and see what happens we get enough people can save a lot. I did a vig converter for my f body and we saved 500 on them buying 10 so who knows.

Id be up to getting some long tubes..I have a NNBS 2500 6.0(2008). PLEASE let me know if you get a group deal or whatever..I get paid next week..I guess we need them to bolt up to the y pipe or do they come with them? For I think 550, Texas Speed sells the Pacesetters(ceramic) with matching y pipe. Also, the new body style HD's(2007.5-2010) with the 6.0 have a 3.5" diameter y pipe, all the way out to the tailpipe. I wonder if they can make em work ok. I just have a new cat back system (3.5 flowmaster full cat back) and dont want to have to scrap it.

thanks for all the input guys. decided to just go with the ebay stainless ones since LPP's wont be available for a few months and the truck is just a daily, never the less people seem to have good luck with them so for the price they shouldnt be too shaby
