I did the job and it wasn't too bad, although my problem did no go away so I snugged the bolts up to 20 ft lbs and it definitely didn't make things better, maybe worse. I am just having a hard time determining where the leak is coming from.

Is there an easy way to search for exhaust leaks? Adding smoke somehow or something?

 

Usually it's obvious where the leak is if you look at the old gaskets.

 

Ok found it, small hole in header pipe. I have dynatech long tubes and there is a hole at the weld on one of the pipes. Now I really don't want to buy new headers as I'm sure I won't find the exact same ones locally and the exhaust will need to be modified. I think I will attempt to have it welded. Not sure how that's going to pan out. Thanks for all the help thus far!!
