header leak

guys i am fixing to put some jba shortys on and wanted to know if headers on the new trucks still leak?

They don't just leak for no reason. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> Just follow the instructions exactly and use a torque wrench and they should be fine.

Hey 03red I am not sure what kind of gaskets JBA sent you, but I hear you can get metal gaskets that are less likely to leak. Also be careful to not overtighten bolts in the aluminum heads. <img border="0" alt="[cheers]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_cheers.gif" />

The stock intake manifolds flow decent from the factory, adding shorty headers is really nothing different. The real power comes from mid-length or long tubes, usually around 20~hp/tq at the wheels from what I have seen.

jba is a good name but with so many others out their making lth's i think you would be better off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
