put the long tubes on lastnight and it feels sluggish. I knew i would loose a little bottom end but not this much it just wont go. Il be getting a tune in the next few weeks. should it help it out any? I seriously real close to putting the manifolds back on. i was planning on going to the track this weekend but im scared to even see what my 60s will be. We were gonna put my Circle D in friday after work but my 60 foot times will probably be the same as there were stock as sluggish as it is now. Its kinda aggravating

What longtubes and truck/engine do you have? Tuning should help...spirited driving will even help as the PCM learns and adapts to the free flowing exhaust, but by all means get it tuned to optimize the LT's

And also, if your 6.0 is basically stock other than the headers, it's gonna be sluggish. The 6.0 is not the magic bullet everyone makes it out to be here. It's fine in a 3200 lb corvette, but a truck really needs more displacement badly.

no but i had to get rid of the cats. The 02 sensors that plug into the headers are plugged in. but the ones that was behind the converter are still in the exhaust but not plugged in. i was told i just needed them so they could hook up the A/F with i get it tuned

I wasn't expecting to gain anything until i got it tuned but i didn't think i would loose this much either. i knew i wasn't gonna bolt them on and instantly gain 30hp. i just wish i could at least get it back to as slow as it was to begin with.

Using pacesetter headers I picked up 28 rwhp on my otherwise stock 6.0. From 267 to 296 rwhp. The pull was started around 2500 rpm if I remember correctly and the torque was already higher at that rpm versus the stock 4.8L exhaust.
