Default head and cam or blower for my 5.3

heres the deal guys,i have a rcsb 5.3 with a vortech on it.my neighbor is thinking about buying the vortech from me for 2 grand,so im wondering what would be better to get next hc or a roots or turbo.im not to happy with the vortech cause im still getting stomp buy lightnings sooo..and keep in reminder ill be attending s.a.m this fall.i would just like to get in the low 13s before i start..........mods list....410s,built bottom end and custom tune

My # 1 choice would be a turbo, followed by a roots type blower. Both will give you the low-end power you need to get a heavy truck moving, rather than the power up top from the centrifugal.

I agree. I don't think you can go wrong with either. Just research the kits that are available to see what fits your needs.
