I'm surprised the stock tranny has lasted this long. When i put it in gear now it slams into gear pretty hard, and when i punch it at about 20mph it breaks the tires loose still but its not down shifting as hard. It could be just the spinning making it not feel as hard i guess. What do you guys think?

The trans is 100% stock with the exeption of servos and Lucas additive.

So is it finaly going out or can something else be causing it to go into gear hard?

Thanks,
Ron

I know i probibly need a new trany, but i was hoping to get the T76 on it first. Ive had the turbo sitting around over a year slowly building up the kit and was looking forward to finnishing it before i went with a built trans.

If it is still shifting fine and dosnt seem to be slipping in any gears, I wouldn't worry about it. Some mornings mine goes into gear harder than others too. I am supprised you are still going good on a basicly stock tranny too. I hope I am as lucky on number three after I get my h/c worked out. Although I do have a transgo and vette servo to help out a little.

Have you noticed anything funny about first gear?
