Default has anybody ever done this type of ram air?

my friend just did this to his car, its a honda but same rules apply...

he used a filter that resembled(sp?) a K&N Xstreem filter

but he ran a ram air tube to the end of the filter, usually when i hear about guys getting ram air setups on their truck it seems like the just run the tube to point it at their filter, i may be wrong but i was wondering if this is what most peeps do or if anybody did it, it seems like it would produce alot more power like that

also... if somebody HAS done this, if possible i would love to see an autotap log of how much of an increas in lbs/min u get flowing through the maf, since a dyno run doesnt really do justice to ram air

if u guys cant tell im a little bored... haha
