Default H.O. Cam

can anyone tell me if a 6.0 H.O. cam will give me a decent 1/4 mile time with a 3k stall? and how much better is it over a stock 6.0 cam.

Pretty sure that the LQ4 and LQ9 (HO, SS, Esky, etc.) cams are the same. Main difference is flat top pistons in the LQ9 bringing the cr up to 10.08:1 as opposed to dished in the LQ4, plus different PCM tuning. (LQ9 has stronger connecting rods also)

With a 3000 stall I would definetly go aftermartket. Are you looking for a choppy idle or smooth?

Dont mess with anything factory if you want reall performance from a cam. Something in the 216 range would be nice for Im guessing the 4.8 and it would ahve a noticeable idle but not very much. What kind of truck?

You could go with the TR220 or TR224, or the Comp split duration cams work well especially with forced induction or nitrous. I would say TR224 though with a 6.0l.
