does anyone know how much my times would increase if instead of running on my 20's race day, i swiped my dads 2 rear tires with 16's on them? or would it be better to get some cheapo rims with some e/t street or other slicks?

I just went to the track yesterday... what a letdown. I have the standard lift comp 212/218 along with very little other stuff. This last week, I had to wend my Predator back to get it updated because I couldn't adjust the rev limiter. So without the programmer, it ran a disgraceful 16.25 @ 84mph. the good thing was that I cut a .038 light. pretty good for the second run ever in this truck. I am anticipating much quicker times when it is programmed.

Yeah, I won't argue with that one bit. The stock tune even went so far as the engine would start blubbering and cutting out above 4700 or so. But, I must say with the programmer, this is a really well mannered cam. I really didn't feel as though much was lost down low, and when it gets up high enough you can really feel it start to stride. I would deffinately suggest this cam for a daily driver. I pulled a trailer with a backhoe (approx. 14,000lbs. total) shortly after installing this cam and it did just fine.

You can tell it is in there at idle, especially without a tune. It is a little strange, every now and then, it will idle really rough then clear out. I turned up the idle like 150 rpm over stock and it idles smoother. as for fuel economy, I can't say what it would do in a 1/2-ton, mine only got 13 or so stock and it still gets about the same. but with the higher gearing, I cruise at substancially higher rpm. I don't really know whether a cammed engine gets worse economy on the highway since the powerband is shifted higher or if it doesnt make a difference. Anyone else?

i saw a little bit of an economy drop with my tune and 02 LS6 cam install...with my 4.10 gears and whatever is in my sig i generally get 12 mpg on strict city driving...on the highway, with a tail wind i can manage 17mpg but thats when the only stop sign is the one turning to the entrance ramp and im crusing at 70mph fyi(60mph about 1900rpms)
