Just read a press release from GM about a new 3.6 V6 for the Cadillac CTS. LF3, DOHC Twin Turbo, Direct Injection. Will be mated to a 8 speed automatic. 420 HP 430 FPT. GM has the manufacturing in progress for the 2014 CTS. Time will tell if that technology will trickle down.

1.8l Matrix, GM or Toyota?
Those ECOTEC engines have a bunch of fingers in the pot- GM, Opel/Vauxhaul, Isuzu, Holden, Fiat? Depending on which engine is being
referred to.
The 6.0L WR-12(or a double Vee 12) engine used in the Volkswagen Phaeton and Touareg, the Audi A8, and the Bentley Continental GT.
Pretty sure the Kxxx trucks are getting a "ECOTEC GEN-3" designation.
ECOTEC(Emissions Control Optimisation TEChnology), i dunno, I kinda like the Vortec better.

I kind of hate this guessing game... but I'm surprised the numbers are not out yet.
I honestly think a big part of the hold up is in the corvette. GM has ALWAYS protected its baby... making the most power even when the same engine was used in other cars. I think the hold up with the corvette is the Z06 and the ZR1. They have to be properly 'spaced out' if you know what i mean... Z06 makinf an appropriate amount more power, and ZR1 making the correct jump over the Z06. Once the vette figures are more squared away internally they will all come out (current Z51 and base vette along with the trucks).
Just my opinion...
