I just finished reading my new Chevy High Performance for Sept., & I can't believe what I am seeing...
A 15.3 hp & 17.3 lb-ft increase on a stock 5.3 just by changing the plug wires???
I don't want to jump to conclusions, but my BS meter is pinging.
I have been going about this all wrong!!!

I also read that article.....my thoughts.....they did an ohm per inch on new a/c wires for what I think was 905 ohms resistance, granatelli wires .5 ohms. What they did not say was what the ohms on the wires they pulled off were, sounds to me like they had a high resistance wire on there to begin with, replace wires (regardless of brand) and walah....17+ hp increase at wot when turbulence and such is high and firing the sparkplug is at the hardest point. Just my thoughts.......

if the wires were bad then they will gain what was lost and a tiny bit more. i dont see that much hp with plug wires at all. there had to be something else that was wrong that was fixed. as for the granatelli on a stock engine. i can see some improvement with it. but once the modding begins elswhere on the engine it will cause it to go lean in imo.

. Then maybe one of those tornado things for an extra 100hp......
......Granatelli are some robbers!
