You guys are funny. A stock 5.4 dynos what maybe 220 rwhp at its best, and a 02 Harley does 325-330rwhp. Now I won't post what a pulley and chipped one dynos at (don't wont to hurt your feelings) but it is more than 150rwhp than a n/a 5.4.

Here are some 2002 HD times !

And some more !

Once again if there is anyone who doubts these claims feel free to drop me a email when you are in dfw, my sons truck is always up for a run.

No flames. Just facts.

A lightning with a chip, pulley and intake will dyno 430ish rwhp / 490ish rwtq. I'm glad your boy ran such great times. But just because he does, doesn't mean everyone will. Now just leave it alone. NO-ONE SAID I KICKED AN H/D'S *** IN THE 1/4.

Hey Roger - I'm in DFW, although I'm from the east side of the metroplex, and am always looking for a little fun. It is hard to find a good race - no one takes an extended cab Z71 truck seriously. Pound for pound, it should be pretty even - with the toolbox and driver, I'm pushing 5500 pounds.

I may not be much of a challenge for your son, but I really want a chance. As a matter of fact, I'll be in the mid cities this afternoon and tomorrow afternoon as well. Let me know if your son will have a chance to meet me somewhere. I'd like to see the Harley interior first hand too.

Richard

Bigtex we will be at Redline raceway this Friday.
Come on out there I'll be taking my vette and he will have his truck there I am shooting for 7.90's in the 1/8th in my vette.

Come on over and say Hi. It's a great little track that always has traction.

I think he is shooting for 8.90's, (his best is 9.0's at 78.5mph).in the 1/8 in his truck. Then he plans to put a 6lb lower pulley on it.

See you there.

Well I am not to big on street racing(old fart).

And my son is married and sees plenty of action at stoplights and the track. So I can't help you there.

Roger, thanks for posting those times. I guess I don't have a hard time believing that a HD can run low 13's @ 102-104 as long as its pushing 12-16 psi of boost . Obviously the guy I ran had a stock L pulley which is good for 8-9 psi of boost I think. Anyway, I never intended for this to turn into a pissing match. Again, we never went from a stop, it was 20-60mph runs, and it was 100* w/ 100% humidity. Long story short, in that rpm band, I pulled him.
I'm sure BigTex will give your son a good run

Now we are talking Roger. I have been to Redline and its only about 25 minutes from home. It is a good track. Much better than Denton or Kennedale in my opinion. I'll be in a black excab Z71. Look forward to seeing you out there.

What color is your Vette and his truck? I'd like to be able to pick you out easily.

I saw a stock 2002 HD run 14.14 in the 1/4 mile at Englishtown NJ.
My stock 2002 Lightning ran 13.43 @ 101.8 and weighed in at 4884 Lbs. The HD motor just needs a $75 pulley to have the same boost as the Lightning which is 9.5Lbs.
I don't see how a 5500 Lbs Z71 can beat a 2002 HD without some serious help.
