Default Got my truck back and... trouble code P0200

So I've been without my truck for 11 months now, and today I went and got it back. It has only been driven about 200 miles in those 11 months. New mods were a Yank TT3000, FLT Level 5 4L65E, Tru-Trac, 4.11 gears, and a new mail order tune from PCMforless.

I drove it on a test drive about 10 miles before leaving for home with it and all was fine. 100 mile drive to my in laws house was fine. Start up to take a quick run to the store and get the check engine light, truck running rough, and almost dieing at stops. Went to AutoZone and got a P0200 code. Cleared the code and it ran fine back to the house. What are the causes and solutions to this code?

Thanks!

Crap man, that sucks big time Can't catch a break. I looked up the code and it reads injector circuit malfunction...could there be a loose wire or connector, maybe something got pulled during the trans install. How about a loose ground?

Yeah, I looked the code up in my service manuals and read all about it. I don't see how anything that was done recently would have caused this problem.

So far the only solution that has been offered up was by my wife - Sell the damn truck.

Figures that it had to happen the first time she rode in it.

Are you still running stock injectors?
Sounds to me if one of the contacts on the injector plug isn't making contact with the terminals.
I would remove all of the injector plugs then reinstall them. Make sure each and every plug is firmly connected. You could have hit a bump that just barely knocked an injector off line.
Might as well check them all!

Tom see if the guys at Autozone can check to see which cylinder is misfiring. That'll point ya to the culprit.

Please tell me you used fuel stabilizer before storing it.... If you did not, that could be half the problem.

Yes, still on the stock injectors. It's worth a shot to check all of the injectors.

Their cheapo scan tool could not tell them what cylinder it was.

Actually that reminds me of something I forgot to put in the previous posts. The truck was never meant to sit as long as it did. When I took it for it's test drive yesterday it only had 2 or 3 galons of gas left int it, so I had to fill it up with fresh 93.

Something else comes to mind since it sat so long...I'd check to see if a critter was hanging out under your hood and chewing through any wiring. Definitely visually inspect all of the harnesses and injector connections like DLH mentioned. At least it's nice out today so you can check things out in the sun...would be nice to get it figured out and get a chance to drive it today

If the truck's not sorted out by next Saturday, maybe we can take a look at it after we do the brakes on the GP. I'm hoping to go racing at Island Sunday, they're having test and tune every Sunday in April IIRC...you're invitation still stands

*note to self, buy a few cans of Brakleen...

It's fixed and it only took five minutes!!!!

The pigtail for the injector on the 3rd cylinder back on the pass side was barely on there. The little locking clip had slid out and the rest of the connector was just barely sitting on the injector. When I tugged on it, it popped off. Snapped it back on, and I have been out punishing my Toyo's ever since!

Amazing how much stronger and smoother it is now that it has all eight cylinders firing. I have no idea how it came off during the drive home. Maybe it got bumped during the trans install, and just the vibration from the drive shook it loose enough to not make contact.

Thanks guys!
