Default Got my K&N FIPK

Installed my K&N yesterday and now i love every minute of when i step on it, all im waiting for now is for Jesse to call me back so i can send out my pcm. Even though the K&N may not get me alot of horses i would say money well spent at this point.

I liked the K&N FIPK when I had it on my 00 Ext Cab. When I got my 05 Crew Cab I decided to go with something different and went with the Volant. I like the Volant better but the K&N runs a close 2nd. The Volant is not as loud as the K&N which is nice but I do miss the sound of the K&N at times.

I've heard people having this issue and most just trimmed the fan shroud for it to fit.

yeah i was gonna do that, but the damn shroud is the only thing keepin the fan from slappin it. it's smashed up against it and still is only about 1/8 inch from rubbin the fan. i just didn't know if anyone else had that problem. im just gonna ride like it is until i get my e-fans..

I had to trim my fan shroud for my K&N also, then had to trim the K&N air box for the 05 e-fans. Now I have a Volant w/ ram air and everything fits nicely...still sounds good too.
