It won't get louder, mine didn't. It's not like other mufflers that "break in".

i love mine with a 3.5 exhaust.....sounds mean at idle but quiet enough at cruise or 75mph....no drone or rasp, no blat blat lumber truck sound for me

I see in your sig that you have LT's. Cats or no cats?

That's pretty much the exact sound I'd like to have on my truck.
Except I don't have an aftermarket cam.
