Good engine shop to rebuild and install in or near Killeen Texas?
Anyone know of a good reliable engine/machine shop to do rebuild work and install in one location in or near Killeen Texas? I'm looking to have some work done on my 07 5.3L and would like a one stop shop.

Isn't it only about 75 miles? They have earned a great RELIABLE reputation from thousands of customers, or are you just going to find something that some random person recommends because it saves you 15 minutes of driving???????? If you're on "PERFORMANCEtrucks.net" surely you want something more than stock.. Its only an hour away, and 30 minutes back. You want "reliable, (IF YOU'RE ON HERE, IM ASSUMING) performance, and you want it close". This sounds like you want something like that; fast, reliable, and cheap rule that doesn't exist.

I know Texas Speed is reliable and within 45 minutes. I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't missing " a golden nugget" shop that might be closer that just might not be as big as Texas Speed but put out quality work. I've been across some really good performance shops that weren't a big name establishment but put out a quality product.

I hear what you're saying.
I think you'd be better off going to TS or TMS (even though its 3 hours away).
Its a hit or miss situation when it comes to machine shops.
I'm probably going to buy a short block from TMS. I've heard enough horror stories about machine shops that I don't want to take any chances.
