lets face it, im gonna be down to one truck, with snow around here i cant be running a 4k stall. gotta take the truck more streetable.
im ditchin the TR224 and downsizing to something stock LS6 springs can take. im gonna run 799 heads, LS6 cam (something similar, maybe little bigger depending on if the springs can take it like i mentioned), & a SS3200-SS3600 depending on the cam. unlimited funds is not an option here, im trying to do this for under $1k for everything, i figure my cams gotta be worth a LS6 cam trade and i already have a practically brand new SS4000.
-any cam suggestions aside from the LS6 that would be similar but not to much?
-would i see a big loss from going from a 224 to LS6etc.?
-how bout those heads... anyone running 799s?
Thanks a bunch

my cam is similar to an ls6, with a 3000 stall and ls6 springs...and is VERY tame and streetable. drives fine in the rain, it would probably be fine in snow too....
couldnt comment on those heads though.

Ya they are supposed to be exact same as 243s. I just talked to Shannon though and he said the 799s are sand cast, making the 243s better quality which would explain price difference... so probably better off spendin the extra money and just getting 243s

all of the aluminum parts are sand cast A356 aluminum, there is no difference between them besides the numbers. GM doesn't sell forged heads asaik.
