Cool, that's good to know. I would have a hard time paying $100 for a set of header studs.

Those look really good GMCtrk, I like the idea of the locking nuts, must definitely make it easier for hanging the gasket on during the install...I'd consider those for when I do my LQ9, although I already have a set of Stage8's, and the bolts I'm using now have treated my so well, I might just re-use them again. Eh, might do the studs anyway lol...to soon to decide

Was there any clearance issues getting the headers over the studs when installing?

Yeah this is a good one though, don't want to be burnin threads on those alum heads running bolts in and out.

If you have a dealer account, they are a lot less.

thanks guys for the tip, Cuz i was looking into better bolts/studs for my new set-up.

Are they stainless? The polished Stainless ARP studs on my last truck looked great and never loosened a bit... Don't know if the GM's can be better, but they do look worth the money to me. Thunder Racing was out of stock on the studs so I picked up some stage 8 Bolts for 38 bucks for this go round and I'm pretty happy with them. Just that I like the security of having the studs installed, knowing that there is no more risk of cross threading like with bolts coming on and off with every header pull. Hopefully I won't be pulling them much though, lol

Yeah well - the more you run the bolts in and out the more you'll wear the threads out. Less likely to break a bolt Besides, it'd be my luck after installing the headers to swap the bolts out for studs and break the damn bolts.

Oh and not all of us can get an account setup at a GM parts counter. Or can we??? How do I join the secret discount underground?

I see you got the broken bolt out of your head. Hopefully the studs won't break. Looks good and thanks for the pictures!
