Default Glad I noticed before I pulled the heads

I recieved my heads I had bought from a person claiming they were for a 2004 5.3. I had ordered all of the gaskets and such from the dealer, the MLS kit.

As I was getting ready to start tearing down I notice the recess in the heads that indicates they are 99-00 heads and needs the composite gaskets.

Should I move forward with these heads and get new gaskets or would it be better to look for different/newer heads.

Sorry was a little frustrated as I had been buying parts and getting expidited shipping.

Thank you for letting me vent.

Now what's the difference between the heads?

From what I read the MLS gaskets will not seal the heads with the recess.

I am personally looking for advice on this as well.

If I am wrong please let me know, but I have seen that from numerous sources.

Thank you,

Demand a full refund including shipping if they aren't as advertised and what you paid for.
