Default getting a LS1 this week!

The 6.0 deal didn't go through because of my finaincial difficulties But, I'm fixing to buy an 98' LS1 with around 85,000-95,000 miles on it. One of the valve seals is leaking. But, the guy is selling it for $450! CRAZYCUTTER4.8 told me about the deal and gave me the part numbers for the factory replacement bearings. Thanks again Blake!

This will be a budget motor, trying to keep everything as cheap as possible.

I want to get my extra set of 5.3 heads worked on (ported/polished, valve-job, etc.) and put them on the LS1.

I'm thinking about putting the cam I currently have in my truck in it. But, I might go larger (212/218, 216/220, or a Custom FMS cam). I'm really considering a custom cam that Futral had recommended for the 6.0, 216/220-113LSA. How high could I go on lift, considering I will be using the 5.3 heads?

I don't plan on any kind of power adder, so what piston rings/pistons would be a good replacement?

What about the Eagle cranks/rods? Are they any good?

Please give your opinions and advice! Thanks!

I would go with a 220 cam with 114 lsa and 918 springs and titanium retainers. Are you going to add a stall? I think they worked out all of the problems with the eagle cranks and everything thing else should work well.

Yeah, plan on getting a 2600 stall and some 3.73/3.90 gears before the swap.

Congrats! I love my TR224 cam! It doesn't act as bad as I thought it would, and I'm still on a 4.8 tune!

Congrats and good lucK!
