yeah I'm going to just use the aluminum part of the rails. weld on a 8AN fitting to both ends of one and on one end of the other. and the one that has 1 fitting I"m gonna plug the backside of it. it's gonna be a return style. it'll look pretty good hopefully when it's all done. btw I'm gonna use a mallory FPR and a MSD high output pump.

Looks like GM beat you to it well at least on the new 4.3L

DIRECT IGNITION SYSTEM (Chevrolet Silverado, GMC Sierra)
The ignition system is now fired electronically, and uses three coils, each of which fires two cylinders. The coils are mounted above the former distributor location. A shorter oil-pump driveshaft was necessary to replace the former distributor shaft-driven oil pump.

2007i Vortec 4.3L V6

You should be able to use parts of that engine on a V-8. The oil pump drive and front mount 58x pick up ring as well.

that's quite different than the setup we're gonna run, but in theory its the same concpet.

as of now I can't do the EFI conversion for the buggy since some things have come up and everything is for sale on here and ls1tech along with the dune buggy itself.
