I have a 03' ECSB 4.8 with stock 3:42's and open diff. Im gonna put a posi on towards the end of the year and wanted to know if you guys recommend me changing my gears while I'm at it and if so what would you recommend. I do use this truck as a daily driver but never tow or haul anything! Thanks for the thoughts!

 

I would do 4.10's

 

Diddo the 4.10s. It will really wake your truck up and make it more responcive. It realy wont effect your milage much either.

How much are the 4:10's gonna set me back??? I figure I might as well do the gears at the same time. So you guys think I'll see a big difference. What brand gears do I need to go with are they GM?

 

you may be able to find some 4.10's from someone on here or ebay for cheap. People with 35's typically get 4.56's and you might be able to find a set real cheap. Also check some local 4x4 shop for discarded or used sets.
