I think you want to stay with the "mls" (multi layered steel) head gaskets. I searched that sellers ebay store and they have other sets that include mls head gaskets. The price seems good though. I to am searching for a good deal on gaskets for a cam/head swap. Maybe someone with more experience will chime in.

The 99-01 take the coated head gaskets. If you use a mls on an early 5.3 you will have a leak. I have to use fiber coated gaskets on mine.

Really? Why is that? That's good info. I knew that the 99's had the fiber gaskets, but didn't know that they were a must have...

...and to the OP, I would stick with OEM gaskets or Fel-Pro at the very least...

There is a notch on the heads that has to be sealed by fiber. MLS will leak like a sieve.
