Funny cam install problem
#1
While doing my cam & spring swap today, we were using a bungee cord to fill the chamber and hold up the valves to swap the springs. Halfway through the bugee cord somehow tied itself into a knot while inside of the chamber.
We were stuck for a a while but finally cut it off and pull the remains out. I laughed
for several minutes on the thought that if it can it will go worng, especially in my garage. Join me in a good laugh.

I used air. Although I did hit a snag kinda when I did my cam. Few times when I was cranking down on the spring to get the locks out, I did get my fancy spring compressor a tad crooked. It started to push the valve down and I could hear air leaking a bit. Scared the **** out of me. I thought the valve was gonna fall into the cylinder.

I am glad everyone else enjoyed the good laugh as I did. To answer a few questions.
1. Yes it was my first time, but I had experienced help, I could do it the next time. THe new specs are 234/230 comp cam
2.5th set of 4.10 gears is a result of a whipple, 33 inch tires, a 10-bolt, and a consistently heavy foot. Axle swap will come after I finish the motor, probably a dana 60 or 14-bolt.
3. Whipple will be up for sale soon, I will make whoever wants it a good deal, I have had great fun with it.
4.bugee cord to hold the valves up, not the lifters. It actually work very well before the knot, and only did it because we could not find the fitting.
Now that the motor is ready, can't wait to start the swap.
