Default full exhaust set up

Well im planning out the exhaust im going to run once the nicer weather arrives.
Heres what im thinking,
Pacesetter Lt's into two mangnaflow 3' cats, then those 3" pipes into a magnaflow y pipe http://www.hottexhaust.com/detail.asp?PRODUCT_ID=10798. Then from there to magnaflow muffler, either SI/SI 3"/3" or SI/DO 3"/2.5" and side exit before rear tire.

Few questions
1. 3" pipe too much for a stock 5.3 with just and intake and black bear tune?

2. Whats going to sound/preform better( i want a nice deep sound ) the SI/SI 3"/3" or SI/DO 3"/2.5"

1. 3" is not going to optimize the flow/velocity balance for a near stock 5.3. I run a 3" on mine, but I have some other things planned for this truck and I already had a 3" Bullet and the tip laying around.

2. I'd just put a reducer after the Y-pipe and then do a 2.5" single in/out, it's going to sound good and offer the best performance for your application.
