Default Fuel System questions.

We're about to order my Aeormotive fuel pump and have a couple questions.

The Aeromotive AEI-11106 is the pump that I and my cohorts are looking to use. It is rated from 150 to 800 hp flowing over 450 lbs/hr at 12 v and 45 psi and operates with base pressure settings between 30 and 65 psi.

What psi will the Radix fuel pressure regulator work with? Does it appear that this pump will be usable with the Radix system?

Is there any need to continue using the auxilliary pump that came with the Radix system or should we discard it?

What size injectors come with the Radix system?

Regarding the stock fuel pump and sender. On the top of the pump/sender unit is a 3 wire plug that appears to be some sort of sensor. It appears to be hooked to a rubber grommeted hole through the lid of the pump/sensor unit. What is it? Is it necessary in the new fuel cell. Will the puter throw codes at me if we don't include it in the new setup?

You shouldn't need the Radix pump any more.

I didn't have the return style Radix so I couldn't tell you about the pressures.

The Radix has 44lb injectors. The 60 lb upgrade require spacers for the rail and longer bolts as well as different injector plugs on the harness. The injectors are longer. See Moregrips MP122H upgrade thread for this upgrade.

Does the 3 wire plug look like a Map sensor? If so, I believe it has to do with the Evap system. That can be turned off in the tune or make previsions to install it in the new tank if emissions is an issue.

I think you want a higher flowing pump. That one is only good for 500 fwhp on a FI motor. http://aeromotiveinc.com/listing.php?cat=1

I think you will also need one of these to keep it from overheating if you intend to keep using the truck as a DD: http://aeromotiveinc.com/pdetail.php?prod=31

Thanks! The Jegs catalog gives the impression that the 11106 is good up to 800 hp, even if supercharged but the Aeromotive site, for which you provided a link for me, draws a different picture.

I will upgrade my choice to the 11101, good for 800 forced induction hp. My truck is not a dd but I do drive it frequently in a rather slow crusing speed so I can see that it would be advantageous to opt for the fuel pump speed controller. More electronics.. just what I need. Nothing intimidates me like electronics. I have very little training, education or experience with the newer technology. But I am learning.

Any ideas about that 3 wire plug on the top of the stock fuel pump/sending unit? Do you know what the normal operating fuel pressure range is for the Radix? I've not been able to find it.

Yes, as stated above, that is the fuel tank pressure sensor. Part of the emissions control system.

Operating fuel pressure on a boost-referenced system is going to vary in the 50-70 psi range(assuming up to 10psi of boost). Base, non-referenced(i.e. with the vac hose disconnected from the FPR) fuel pressure will be around 58-60 psi.

I went with the Aeromotive 11101 pump, the fuel pump controller, the 12301 and 12304 filters and -10 in line with -6 return line.

That 3 wire plug does look like the map. I suppose it will throw codes until I get it shut off in the tune but will it cause other problems.... refusal to start or run properly or ???
